Propix History:

Propix Photo Studios was established in Tokyo in the mid 1980s. Primarily shooting travel destination stock of Europe, Asia and the Pacific.

From travel stock the subject list grew to include industrial and corporate images.

After the birth of my daughter in 1992, I found a new subject to add to my list; children and baby animals. I started to

reduce my time "on the road" to spend more time with my family.

During the early to mid 90s, I began shooting young Japanese model portfolios and things grew from there.

In 1999, I moved my family to Australia for a slower pace and set up an Australian Pty based in Nerang on Queensland's Gold Coast region. From here I continue to shoot stock images of Australian destinations & image concepts. As the Australian film industry rapidly expands in this area, I saw a need to professionally produce, to world standards, model/actor portfolios and this has become the bread and butter of our current operations.

Of course, I continue to offer Commercial Photography to local business whenever the opportunity arises. So long as every day brings a new challenge, I am content.
